They really are, or at least there in the top 10 or 5, especially when one compares them to so many other so-called "comic book pairings". They don't flirt, cheat, or question about being with others. They've never broken up and even though there a couple with 32 years of history, there still independent characters who are able to do their job without the other being there all the time. They make so many other couples look like per-teens in a soap opera.
Issue #27 showed the G.I. Joe team being formed and that Scarlett was attracted to Snake Eyes, they've been together ever since because the flashback takes place before issue #1, Duke wasn't even there.
Duke didn't even show up until 19854in issue #22 because he wasn't created by Larry Hama who of course created G.I. Joe. He was only put into the original comic because of the 80s cartoon and you won't find one single scene or line from the canon comic book that backs up anything you've said. So everything you've said is bullshit, it was bullshit by the time you even made this comment, in fact.
I did that Snake Eyes & Scarlett piece back in like 08' or 09' I think. I was working with the guys over at Firefight, they keep the G.I.Joe card game going by making their own cards and such. I let them use the artwork but not sure if they made a card out of it or not. Alos, it was supposed to be used at that years Joecon as a pin or badge or something, I was also approached for it to be made into a t-shirt but I don't think that happened. Anyways, I LOVE the costuem you made! I have seen you at a convention or 2 but I am usually busy and dont get to roam the floor much. I was just at SDCC. I still have the original piece of artwork for the Snake Eyes & Scarlett piece, although I also sold it at SDCC. Anyways, I can email you some high res copies of the work if you want. Also, how much would it be to get a good 8x10 autographed photo of you in the Scarlett outfit, maybe you can get a Snake Eyes too and takea pic that resembles the pose of the artwork? I would love to have it for my office. Talk to you soon.
But of course it's the wrong angle, he needs a silver visor and an Uzi and about 40 other reasons why it's not correct. But when I get around to painting the visor and getting an airsoft Uzi, I will certainly replicate the pose properly and send you a pic I'll keep you updated, but it should be within a few months.
